The past week was a busy one. Due to real life stuff, I've limited my play time to weekends primarily (but was able to grab a few hours hear and there during the week). One of my primary goals was to get BLM to 50 before the end of the weekend and that was achieved on Friday I think. While I was doing all that I decided to take up Gold smithing (yeah I know.. glutton for punishment).

Having BLM at 50, I was now able to actually do events without feeling totally useless (personally I can't see BRD's use in FFXIV at the moment, hopefully that will fix that in 2.0). I jumped onboard a Feast of Fools party to go hunt the NM's and then onto a few rounds of the actual fight. Five fights later, I'm sitting there wondering what was worse, the fact that walking through the trees fearing death using a controller (one sneeze and expect to be one-shot), or that they just up and took the Voidwatch drop system and applied it to instances in this game… Hioooo Logs I mean Dark Matter (walked away with 30 or something stupid like that). I did get the bow, if that is worth anything.

Next goal before 2.0 is to finish WHM. Once that's done I'm going to try and spam as many achievements and storyline quests as possible while hopefully getting some Ifrit/Garuda items.

The title pic isn't real, well it is, but isn't. I think my system glitched out causing it to appear closer than it should have been. Initially I freaked out when I turned around to see that, but upon moving the camera I could see that the background seemed detached causing strange effects. Was worth a screenshot though.
