So the other day I decided that I was going to start a Kannagi. Now the name didn't strike me then as I just thought, FFXI, game item.. meh.

Cut to today, I quickly search "Kannagi" in google thinking that I'll go straight to the FFXI page, or atleast some Wiki page about an ancient Japanese weapon. What do I get but, "Kannagi: Crazy Shrine Maidens"… The Anime that I just started watching.

Now let me give you some background about this Anime and myself. Oct 2008, I'm sitting in my hotel room in Akasaka (Tokyo, Japan) drinking some Kirin (epic bear by the way that they've just started actually selling it in most stores here in AU, atleast in QLD, NSW seems a little backwards still). Anyhow, I'm laying back drinking away, feet up due to them being epically sore from all the walking we had been doing, when this Anime came on. Now since we had been in Japan for about a week, we had yet to see Anime on TV, maybe because we weren't looking.

Anyhow I was able to make out bits and pieces of what was happening, but never caught the name. Cut back to about a month ago. I decided that I wanted to find out what that Anime was that I was watching back in 2008. So I quickly looked at Chartfag's site (does release information for Anime per season) and found the name of the series, "Kannagi: Crazy Shrine Maidens".

Back to today. Upon seeing that they both shared the same name, I am now convinced that this is the weapon I'm meant to be upgrading. Yeah sounds somewhat stupid, destiny like, but I don't believe in coincidence. How can a weapon I randomly decide to upgrade share the same name as an Anime that stuck in my mind from seeing (and barely understanding) three years earlier.

On a parting note, Lumbering Lambert down, onto Deadly Dodo. I really want most of these annoying NM's done, and onto the VNM's by this Monday coming.
